Our modular housing work is where we began putting our ideas to the test in real communities.
We set out to explore whether housing could be made more practical and accessible by rethinking the way it is designed, constructed, and assembled.

Our modular homes combine thoughtful design with recovered and recycled materials, while allowing for faster assembly and greater community participation.
Across three displaced communities, we have deployed more than twenty structures, housed dozens of people, and involved residents in the construction process.
But the numbers are only part of the story.
Every deployment has helped us understand the realities of building in these environments, from materials and transportation to weather, assembly, community needs, and long-term use.

We did not arrive at our approach fully formed. It has been shaped by every community we have worked with, every challenge we have encountered, and every lesson we have taken forward.

Before we draw a line or choose a material, we take time to understand the people and the place. The needs of a community should shape the solution, not the other way around.

Built By, Not Just For
Community members have participated in the construction of our homes, gaining practical skills while helping create the spaces they would use. We believe participation makes the work stronger and creates knowledge that can remain after the project is complete.

Better Uses for Waste
We explore how recycled plastics, reclaimed metals, discarded materials, and other overlooked resources can be turned into useful building components and products.

Every project gives us new information. We use what we learn to improve our designs, materials, and processes before taking them into the next community.

Good design starts with listening
Before we drew a single line or sourced a single material, we sat with communities and asked what they needed. That conversation changed everything. The best designs we have ever produced started with us saying nothing at all.

Built By, Not Just For
Nineteen community members were trained to assemble the very homes they would go on to live in. That decision was not just practical — it was intentional. When people build their own spaces, they own them in every sense of the word.

Waste Has a Second Life
Recycled plastics, reclaimed metals, and discarded billboard tarpaulins became the walls, roofs, and floors of 23 homes. What the world threw away, we turned into something worth living in. That is not just sustainability — it is proof of concept.

Learn, Test, Improve
Every project gives us new information. We use what we learn to improve our designs, materials, and processes before taking them into the next community.
Before, we used nylon sheets to cover our homes during rainy season to keep the flooding out. Now we don't need that anymore. Rain doesn't pass through this house.

Our modular approach allows structures to be assembled relatively quickly. Depending on the type and scale of the project, a structure can be assembled in days, while larger deployments are planned and delivered in phases with local teams.
